Glen Jakes Nursery is a small privately owned family run business, managed by the owners for over 25 years, we provide quality childcare in a homely, friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
Glen Jakes Nursery is situated within acres of private tranquil countryside, a rare pocket of land in the heart of Stockport on Bean Leach Road, we are easily accessible from all areas. Our rural location means children benefit from fresh air, very little traffic and idyllic views.
The nursery was inspected by Ofsted in July 2017 and we are proud to say they graded us as a good nursery, we strive in the future to become an outstanding nursery.
Our dedicated staff team have vast knowledge and experience of childcare development, providing a safe, secure and stimulating environment in a home from home friendly atmosphere enabling children to learn, develop, accomplish & achieve their true potential.
The children are cared for in age appropriate rooms, where the children's individual needs are paramount. All children have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of activities, both adult initiated and child led to aid in their development.
At Glen Jakes Nursery we make the most of the countryside surroundings as we believe that children need time to play and run free in open spaces while exploring and investigating there natural world around them. Our endless outdoor activities are a firm favourite with our children and undoubtedly their regular visits to see the horses, nature trails and picnics in our beautiful woodlands is most definitely the healthiest environment enjoyed by all our children.
We strongly believe in "parents as partners", we work closely together from the very start, sharing information with our parent(s)/guardians, providing reassurance and a foundation for the child's learning and development.
Finding the right care for your child can be very difficult with many questions to be answered. We encourage you to come and see for yourself, so that you have the opportunity to chat to our team and get a real family feel of our nursery. You are more than welcome to visit and view our setting at anytime, however we do suggest you avoid our lunch time period between 12.00pm - 1.00pm.
